Julee Batson's vivid descriptions draw you in and build suspense to the confrontation you know is looming. This is a great read for anyone who loves thrillers and true crime.

The opening chapters of He Didn't Miss waste no time setting the scene for a high-intensity showdown. These chapters masterfully capture the psychological toll of hyper-vigilance where Elizabeth's ex-husband seems to be lurking in every shadow. I am already hooked and am looking forward to reading the rest.
This amazing thriller was gripping from the first chapter. The pacing was fast and beautifully written and the plot twists were genuinely surprising without feeling unrealistic. An exciting read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys suspenseful mysteries.
I'm not usually a big reader unless a story really grabs my attention, but the suspense and mystery from the very beginning kept me invested and wanting to know what happens next. The characters feel real, the story is engaging, and for a debut novel, this is incredible!
A book has to engage me at the beginning for me to get into it. “He Didn't Miss” didn't miss the mark! I was in this book within the first chapter. She laid out the characters early to give a sense of who they are. Julee does a great job of laying a foundation of the story. After reading three chapters, I can't wait to read this book!
The character development has been fast paced in a good way. You get to learn their back stories in a way that is straightforward and to the point. I feel like I already know them and have opinions of them. The story so far has me hooked and already thinking about the different ways this can go.

Julee Batson
I am an author of contemporary thrilling suspense and mystery. I try to build suspense while crafting stories that hopefully stay with readers long after the final page is turned.
I am a true southerner, born and raised, and live in Mount Juliet, TN with my husband. We love to ride motorcycles, attend sporting events, play pickleball and enjoy adventuresome travel. Each spring, I officiate local middle and high school softball games as an umpire.
Writing is a journey. It is an exercise of the mind, the heart, and the soul. Come along with me on this roller coaster of ups and downs with twists and turns — a journey that started out as a few nights of writing in my journal and turned into cathartic therapy through writing and sharing.
